I finished a blanket, as you can see here. I'm rather proud of it because it has a waterproof layer in between the layers you see. The white is terry cloth and the red and white is flannel. The flannel covers the entire back of it and there is a waterproof PUL layer between. It is rather heavy but if it is indeed truly waterproof it will be worth the trouble of washing it. Each side where the flannel wraps and locks the front of it is stitched four times - two straight stitches and two zig zags. It should last me a good long time. Size about 80 x 80 inches.

Now on to the other project I just got started. It's called the groovy ghan and the pattern can be found here. I'm modifying it a bit because I like larger throws. So instead of 7 colors I'm using 8. The square pictured is 8x8 inches. The colors oddly really work together. Many of the yarns in this project also have metallic sparklies in there (which don't show on the picture) so it's even brighter than pictured. This square took a little over an hour to make (mostly because of the constant color changing).
So tomorrow I have errands to do, my oil to get changed, calendars to mail for Mike and work on school stuff. I will finish cutting the patterns tomorrow and also stay stitch the sarong and start fringing it. Afterward I will spend one hour on Ana's blanket and do another square of the groovy ghan. Winter break is going to be VERY productive this year!
