New Songs (Or Remakes) that I Love

These are all more of my quiet time types of songs but I really love them.

Enjoy:

I love the sound of Civil Twilight.  I know it's similar to Muse, which I didn't like as much, so figure that one out.

I also love remakes of 80s songs that I loved but only if they are more sad for some reason.  Such as Gary Jules' remake of Tears for Fears' "Mad World."  I'm not posting that one because I think everyone's heard that one by now.  But the new one to me that I have fallen for is this one:

Yeah, I know it's been out for 3 years, but you know sometimes I have a hard time keeping up with new releases as much as I work and as much as I don't listen to popular radio all that much.  I think I'm doing well.

My lovey, Snufkin, would say "of course you like all of these, they're all in minor keys."  And he's right, but that's okay.  I'm comfortable with my listening habits.

On a sillier note, and also not new, but I wanted to post this one because it's so full of awesome.  But it's at least not three years old. :)

First of all, I know I'm late reading this, but I really don't like the Muse comparison. I mean, I kind of almost-love and mostly-hate Muse, but this is definitely not even Muse-like to me. A lot more like Train, Snow Patrol, Cary Brothers, even a little Keane-ish perhaps... but not Muse.

Secondly, I like this version but I still think Within Temptation did the best rendition of Running Up That Hill I've ever heard, and that includes the original!

And third... you know damn well I didn't watch the last video.
